Read This...

This is worth a read.

Its something for us all to keep in mind after the election - no matter who wins.

What are we doing to change the culture?

Okay, good encouragement but it leaves out reality. When the law is really passed and you give the facts to women who really toss them aside in favor of selfishness real life is brutually murdered. Now I'm not for downing sack cloth and ashes but there is a real need to cry out our tears to God for this real tragedy. Yes have faith. Yes God is soverign and in control. And we should never loose hope. And we should always keep our hearts and minds on heaved and life eternally with God. However, I always think about the real strife and pain that Christians of the past and those persecuted today - how they really do suffer physcially and emotional heartache. And so our pasions should be evoked so we will act and not sit out on the side lines. And then wash our face and sing praise to God for blessings we have. :0)

I think the reality of the situation is exactly the point that is being made here.

When a society is full of people who's lives are changed by the gospel then there will no longer be a need for laws to protect those that are being murdered.

The reason that we even debate things like abortion and marriage is that our culture is not Christ centered but man centered. We do not see the brutality and selfishness of it, we only see "the choice".

How much different would our culture be if we put as much time and effort into spreading the gospel as we do in electing a president?

The only society not in need of laws will be Heaven. If all effort was given to spreading the gospell there would still be some who use free will to choose to do harm. It will always be necessary to legislate good morality while the second coming remains futuristic. It is an undeniable truth that if more hearts would change by virtue of the gospell more and better would be accomplished. Even to the extent of better legislative governing. It's the rejection of the spreading gospell and the volitional hearts that will never change which constitute additional action. Do not let my presentation imply the abondment of the great commission. Rather let the image convey more than a single prong approach. Where all points necessitate pasion.
